Third trip to Nepal. Still loving it.
This time round to ABC (Annapurna Base Camp).
I didn't do the paraglide as I planned years ago. Cos I figured it's probably almost quite the same experience as the sky diving I did in 2002.

Covers Inle Lake, Mandalay, Bagan, Pathein and Yangoon in 11 days.
The initial plan was only to take domestic flight for Yangoon=>Kalaw (Inle Lake), then night bus/train for the rest of the trip to save time and money.
But night bus for Inle Lake=>Mandalay and night train from Mandalay=>Bagan is so painful, we decided to take a domestic flight for Bagan=>Yangoon.
Pathien was not in the plan, last minute detour, and it turns out to be the best among the places.
Oh, my friend insisted I used his Fuji FinePix S8000fd. 8Mega pixel with a whopping 18x optical zoom from 28mm.

Malaysia Cameron Highland, Gunung Brinchang and Gunung Irau

A very serene tranquil feeling when you are in the forrest, especially when the mist come in.
Pretty tough trails, bring your raincoat. It rains very often up in the mountain, and it will be very cold with the wind blowing.

Ad-hoc trip, decision made just 2months before the trip. Suppose to be a 16days trip, but came back on the 13th day.
The buildings are nice on the first couple of days, then they just look all the same.
People are friendly, but after a few days of continuous "Hello", "Chinne? Japone?", "How are you?", "Jackie Chan", "Jet Li", I just want to be invisible.

Went to 3 places in Northern Laos.
Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng and Vientiane.
Each has it's own uniqueness. Will probably go to Laos again, but to the south.

Forth trip to Shoalwater Bay Training area in Queensland, Australia.
Things changed. The once laid back nice little town now revolves around two big shopping center.

Fantastic waterfall.
Terrain is quite challenging, especially with all the food and tents.
Bring Toggle rope. It is very important. You will need them to clear some of the steep terrain.
Might go again, since we couldn't make it to the next waterfall without the rope.
In any case, it is a nice place to relax and swim and let the water do the massaging.

Planned and anticipated the trip for 1 year.
Finally, I am there for 16 days, travelling up to Lake Huvsgul in the north and down to Khongoriin Els Sand Dunes in the south.
Horse and camel ride were interesting. The sand dune is quite an memorable experience, not forgetting our beautiful guide and friendly driver.
Would certainly like to meet them again.

My second trip to Manado (I did not upload any photos from first trip).
Quite screwed up. My Minolta Z3 is stuck at 420mm maximum zoom. Can't really take any photos. But it was a fun trip.
get to see and feel the bubbling underwater volcano, sky full of stars, glowing volcano crater, hot spring dips, trekking, traditional market, beautiful lakes, nature reserve, and etc.
Might go back again in not so near future, with a working camera.

My second trip to Mt KK. This time round via the longer Mesilau Trail.
The water rafting was amazing. It had been raining for the few days, a lot of water, very fast flow. The guide managed to capsized the raft.
Might want to do a cycling kayaking trip if I am going back again.

Considered an adhoc trip. My friend ask me along and I just went for it.
Unlike previous trips where I normally trek, walk, shoot photos and stay in budget hotel and guesthouse, we moved around in a Toyota 4500 and stay in hotels with nice big beds and hot showers. Consider a luxury trip.
Good trip. Nice scenery and a lot of great food.
For those who are thinking of going to Tibet, I would suggest you make the trip as soon as possible. With all the developments going on, I think Tibet is going to lost it soon.

My second trip to Nepal. 24 days in total.
A 17 days trek from Lukla, to EBC (Everest Base Camp), cross over Chola Pass, to Gokyo, back to Lukla.
Another 3D2N at "The Last Resort" to bungyjump the 160m valley, canyoning down thru the 40meter waterfall and water rafting in the grade 4+ Bhote Koshi.
Very tiring yet fun. Definitely going back to Nepal again. Probably Annapurna circuit, and must try out paragliding in Pokhara.

Waterfall trek in Malaysia, Dabong.
Had been on my To-Go list for quite some time, finally can strike it off.
The pool at base camp is great.
Personally, you don't lose much, except a bit of pride, if you don't go for the summit. *hee*

Mount Kilimanjaro 7 days trek and 3 days 2 night Safaris.
Sadly, this is quite a disappointing trip.
Totally spoil by the trekking guide. He is always rushing for time for no reason when we are suppose to take it slow on a high altitude trek.
No time for me to enjoy the scenery. Always shaking his head when I stop to rest or take photo. Very disappointed.
Luckily, the safaris guide was great.
And I got a new camera for this trip, Konica Minolta DimageZ3, a 4mega pixel, 12x optical zoom camera.

Manta season. Didn't see manta cos of the dive site we went.
But there were a lot of interesting BIG jelly fish with spider web tentacles.

A Singapore YEP expedition to Vadaseri, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India in 2003
The project was to plant trees along the reservoir bank to prevent soil erosion.
It is a great life experience. Alot of things learnt, and alot of friends made.
If you have the opportunity, I would highly recommend to join one of the many SIF projects.

Gunung Tapis
Weekend trip to a small mountain, still bigger and tougher than Bukit Timah, in a small town of Malaysia.
The Rainbow Waterfall is nice and cooling. Big enough to admire, small enough to play in.
We went up to tapis, but didn't get to see the sunrise on Tapis itself.
Sunrise on LinMing Shan(mountain) is not bad. I get to see "The sea of clouds" on my way down.
